My Technical Landscape

In the professional sphere, my approach is defined by practical execution and strategic oversight. I have led large teams through complex, high-stakes initiatives, including navigating a multi-million dollar data center migration. I have also driven structural improvements from the front lines, serving as a Project Manager for a comprehensive user experience migration to ensure seamless technological transitions across the board.

My daily environment requires continuous adaptation; recently, I have overseen the deployment and scaling of a multi-terabyte, AI-integrated cloud platform. I specialize in implementing network monitoring strategies, utilizing tools like PRTG to keep systems transparent and highly functional for my teams. My technical reach also extends into the physical realm of IT, handling the commissioning of large-scale industrial projects, such as a major 10-ton manufacturing setup.

While my professional responsibilities demand deep fluency in Windows server environments, my foundational philosophy is rooted in open-source advocacy, and I proudly maintain Linux as my primary operating system. I am constantly looking forward, leveraging my leadership experience and technical vision as I step into a Manager of Infrastructure role.

Finding Balance in the Extremes

For me, true balance isn't found in a quiet room, but in the demanding environments of the natural world. I gladly trade the highly controlled parameters of the server room for the raw, unpredictable forces of snow and water.

As a dedicated enthusiast of the outdoors, I spend a significant portion of my free time navigating the high altitudes of Utah. I am a regular on the slopes, skiing and snowboarding through the varied terrain of the Wasatch Range, and frequenting resorts like Brighton, Solitude Mountain, and Deer Valley.

Yet, my pursuit of physical challenge extends in the exact opposite direction—far below sea level. I am an avid scuba diver, drawn to the absolute focus and intricate physics required to explore the ocean depths. It’s this dual life—architecting the invisible structures of the cloud and leading large teams by day, then physically immersing myself in the extremes of the mountain and the sea by weekend—that defines my narrative.
